The little intricacies of financial audio transcription

In the spirit of the business transcription season, we thought we’d put some focus on financial transcription as well.  Although similar to business transcription, it’s not quite the same cup of tea.  We have to transcribe earnings results conference calls during the business transcription season, while financial transcription doesn’t really have quarter-end season as such, they are present all year long.  Types of audio which fall under the financial transcription category can range from investment advice interviews, insurance interviews, banking questionnaires etc.

And just as in business transcription, one has to possess enough financial knowledge to crack this, you have to be aware of finance industry terms, jargons etc. so that you don’t go around searching for a word every two sentences.  Possessing good knowledge of financial terms can go a long way in ensuring quality and a quick turnaround time, which ultimately puts a big smile on the client’s face.
